From what I understand, I could temporarily connect either of these receivers to my Bookshelf Speakers and get better audio than what I currently get from my TV's built-in speakers and then upgrade to better/more speakers later. I've been looking at the Denon AVR-S650H 5.2 ( $249.99, refurbished, 1-year warranty) and Denon AVR-X1600H 7.2 ( $329.99, refurbished, 3-year warranty), and I'm trying to figure out which of these two options (or some other option) would work best for my situation. Since I currently rely on my TV's built-in speakers, I'd like to use this as an opportunity to enhance the sound coming from my TV, Roku, and Blu-ray player and enable me to upgrade to better/more speakers in the future. I recently upgraded my turntable setup by purchasing a Fluance RT82, which I'll temporarily pair with Micca MB42 Bookshelf Speakers. When requesting help for issues POST DETAILS, MODELS, & PICS.
